So what are you supposed to call yourself in blogs? "Pete" is me, but that's the last time he is going to be mentioned. It is me from now on, not him. In 2007, my career lurched sideways. I used to be a "vet" whereas now I am only half a vet. The other half of me is a "journalist", or a "writer", or whatever name you want to put on it. More-or-less, I go to work at the vet practice from 2.30 - 7pm most days, butI spend my mornings at home, working at my computer. I started off doing weekly pieces for the local newspaper, and I now have a bundle of publications to send stuff to. If you REALLY want the blah blah blah, then go to

I set up the website after being told that it was the most important way to get into freelance writing...... along with repeatedly hassling editors for possible openings..... well it did work in 2007, because I managed to get the contract for a weekly piece in the Daily Telegraph - and that was the "gig" that allowed me to move from hobby writer to spending half of my working life doing it........... anyway, enough blah brag stuff from me for now........
