Gardening and art......... Joyce spent a lot of time studying a course at the Dublin School of Horticulture, leading to exams which she blah passed brag brag with commendation blah brag brag. The crowd of folk on the course with her have turned out to be a bunch of kindred spirits and they often meet up for days or evenings out together....
Our own garden is an acre that is full of potential that is still waiting..... Joyce manages to produce vegetables all summer long (and potatoes all winter).... but she has greater plans to do more with the space in 2008.........
"Art" means classes on Wednesdays .... oil painting..... an escape from the usual rounds of kids....homework.... minding the house.... dinners... An extra art thing was that we held an exhibition in our home for Joyce's teacher Nuala - so there were forty-odd paintings on our walls and an evening of wine and chat in the middle of the summer.
