march update from B & Z

Hi All,
We've had a cheery week, with Sue and Kirsty staying so that we could take Sue out to a birthday lunch at the Open Arms Dirleton. I will try to send on a pic or two. It was fun, and B. really rises to occasions like that.
Then over to Craig Dubh on Saturday for the birthday of Dave's German girl friend, Micha, which was also fun. Sarah stayed the night while Joanna went to a Woodmill reunion, which she enjoyed.
Today we have seen a neurologist for the second time. He thinks B's headaches sound like migraines (she gets them 2 or 3 days a week) and aspirin might help. Is it ginger tea you use, Joyce? (Yes, says Pete, I grate a golfball sized lump of ginger root every morning, making a pint of ginger tea which Joyce drinks during the rest of the day - it's fine even when cold. Certainly has helped Joyce's migraines)
We also had a report on B's gynae studies, saying that the biopsy showed no signs of cancerous or precancerous cells.
We've been enjoying the spring flowers, though snow is forecast for tomorrow. Z is curling brilliantly, and through to the quarter finals of the squash handicap competition, and also meets young Michael Birch in the Over 70s national championships in Aberdeen this coming weekend. Neither of us is really in the running for the team this year, and Z is ahead on points, but this is the first time we have played each other.
Michael has also completed his four days of computer training, so can be emailed. I think it is mjbirch@yahoo.co.uk, but there just could be another j in it. So please fill his mailbox with welcoming spam.
Lots of love,
Zander and B
