What news from Hobart?

Rain! It rained at last. Lovely strong soaking rain and the farmers are happy. It came with cold and wind so there was snow too. It snowed at Anna's place.
It was sunny again yesterday so there is just a very light cover left on the mountain.

Anna is happy. She's in her element working in the botanical gardens. Her body was stiff and sore for a few weeks with the extra exercise but it suits her.
Hugh does his thing in Darwin and we don't hear from him normally but Fiona and Pippa are going to visit at the end of the month for a few days.
Fi is progressing with her second pregnancy, she is sensible and capable and great company. I've been painting in their house.
Pippa was going to get married to Shaun in January but has decided snot to now. She's keen to get stuck into her career (she'd finally got to do what she'd wanted) and feels she has a lot to contribute. She'll apply to go back to Canberra next year and do more work along with aborigines instead of paper work in an office.
She and Shaun are still together.

Damian and I are heading to France in September to spend time with friends, then off to Corsica and Puglia for a bike trip. Not getting to UK this time sadly. We have a week in Paris and 2 in Aix en Provence.

We are home for the summer but for a week in Burma cycling at the end of Jan. I didn't win a race in Tahiti so I'm tempted to put in a disciplined training session over summer for the Nationals in Brisbane at Easter.

In spring we are to spend 12 weeks on Deal Island in the Kent group, Bass Strait. We were there for a summer 4 years ago.

A few photos below of our trip to Tahiti recently....

Love to all

Kate
